A Little About Jeff Harrington

Hi, I'm a composer and a 'retired' web programmer who only programs now for fun. I studied at Juilliard with some of the best American composers ever, Elliott Carter and Roger Sessions but I ended up rejecting modernism almost completely, except as a kind of spice.

Hello,
It's great to be here, thanks for the invitation to this fabulous site Jeff Harrington. Also my compliments on the Eroica Spettrale & Erg, a great sound and atmosphere! Nice photos by the way, looks like a nice part of the world to be living in.

Many greetings from Tilburg, The Netherlands

Jeff, Thanks for inviting me here. I enjoyed listening to your music above, the Erg for Mandolin and Guitar, as well as the Espace album. I think I will have to come back to listen to some of those again. And the pictures of Sanibel are beautiful. I can almost hear it in your music. All the best. Dan

Very cool piece (Erg for Mandolin and Guitar). Do you have anything else for guitar? Solos? Large ensemble works with guitar? Guitar and voice, or violin?

Hi Pam I posted an answer last night but it didn't "take". This shouldn't be too difficult. If the piece was called Meditation, then there are a number of suspects to eliminate. I'm thinking particularly of music popular in the 1930s. Try: Medita...

My taste in classical music is eclectic: from early, sacred music to John Cage. In between, I'm very fond of Palestrina, Albinoni, Bach (of course!), and Handel (Water Music and Fireworks). Sorry to say, I'm not particularly fond of Mozart but I ...
